Our Client, Stima DT Sacco Society Limited, a key player in Kenya's financial sector, is seeking to recruit highly qualified professional with a strategic orientation and a strong sense of professionalism to fill in the position of Branch Manager. The successful candidates will play a crucial role in spearheading change and enhancing customer experiences through innovative solutions.
Purpose of the Job
Reporting to the Regional Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing the branch to achieve growth and profitability, overseeing the day to day branch operations, resource management, risk management and control and ensuring excellent customer experience.
Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities
Leadership and Management:
- Participates in formulating the Society’s business plan by preparing and implementing annual business strategy aimed at driving regional growth objectives.
- Supervise and coordinate at branch level, the operations of Mpawa Insurance Agency while collaborating with other business functions to drive growth strategies.
- Prepares branch budgets for approval, managing branch costs and contributing to overall control on expenditure.
Strategic Planning and Business Development:
- Initiate marketing initiatives in the respective region and ensure availability of correctly branded merchandize and proper display of promotional materials to enhance publicity.
- Continuously identify new market opportunities, gather market insights, understand customer trends, and develop appropriate business strategies for penetration and expansion.
- Champion operationalization, uptake and growth of alternative business channels and service points including Stima Mlangoni and maintaining business relationships with check off companies.
- Responsible for cascading to branch staff a clear strategic direction and the set business objectives; setting performance measures to facilitate an effective performance review process and provide support as necessary.
Human Resource Management
- Responsible for induction of branch staff, support the staff to achieve their set targets, create a conducive work environment, build a high performing team to help fulfill the Society’s vision.
Customer Service
- Responsible for loan applications approved at the branch level; direct and supervise credit underwriting, monitoring, collection, and loan recovery processes at the Branch.
- Achieve high quality customer service delivery, consistently improves customer experience, and ensures compliance with Society’s Customer Service Charter to enhance customer loyalty and enhance business sustainability.
Stakeholder Management
- Establish and build strong relationships with stakeholders and business influencers in the region for business growth and strengthening of the Sacco’s brand visibility.
Risk Management and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with all branch controls, processes & procedures; adhere to the relevant statutory, legal, regulatory and Operations Risk requirements including occupational, safety and health requirements.
- Prompt closure of all identified risk and audit issues and achieving the prescribed minimum score.
- Provide monthly, quarterly and annual branch business performance reports to the Regional Branch Manager and respective Business Heads.
Academic qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in a business - related field from a recognised University.
- Membership to a professional body.
- Certified Professional Banker or other related professional qualifications will be an added advantage.
Experience requirement
- Minimum Six (6) years’ experience with three years (3) at supervisory level in the Banking or Sacco sector.
