PKF Kenya is pleased to announce the following appointments, promotions and retirements in its top leadership. Alpesh Vadher has been appointed Managing Partner for PKF Kenya, Nairobi Office. Mehul Bhavsar and Larian Abreau have joined the Partner ranks and Eric Njuguna has been promoted to Partner Designate.

Alpesh brings a wealth of experience having been with the firm for 20 years. He specialises in floriculture and agribusiness subsector and is presently the HR Partner in the region. He takes over this role from Rajan Shah who has been the Managing Partner for the past 6 years. Rajan remains as a Senior Partner in the firm and will continue playing a strategic role in the growth and development Alpesh brings a wealth of experience having been with the firm for 20 years. He specialises in floriculture and agribusiness subsector and is presently the HR Partner in the region. He takes over this role from Rajan Shah who has been the Managing Partner for the past 6 years. Rajan remains as a Senior Partner in the firm and will continue playing a strategic role in the growth and development of the firm.

Mehul, who has been with the firm for 12 years, specialises in the financial audits sector and is based in PKF Kenya, Nairobi Office.  He is a lead engagement partner in audit and assurance. Mehul is the Training Partner (audit) in the EA Region and is also part of the technical committee.

Larian has been with the firm for 9 years and is based in PKF Kenya, Mombasa Office. His wide experience spans audit and business advisory services, tax and financial consultancy services across a range of industries including hospitality, manufacturing, trading, shipping and transport sectors. Apart from audit and tax, he has also been involved in due diligence assignments, fraud investigations, receiverships and tax health checks.

Eric Njuguna has been promoted to Partner Designate, PKF Kenya, Mombasa Office. Prior to this appointment, Eric was a Senior Audit Manager. Eric has been with the firm for 14 years and specialises in Transport, shipping agents, clearing and forwarding Hospitality, Trading and manufacturing sectors.

Our Senior Partners, Harish Shah and Subhash Devani, both based in the Mombasa Office, have retired, effective from 31 December 2012. Harish has served the firm for 34 years and has seen it grow from just 60 staff to the current 550 staff. Subhash has served the firm and under the predecessor firm for 31 years. “I take this opportunity on behalf of my partners to appreciate the exemplary effort and services of these two exceptional individuals. 2013 brings yet another challenging and exciting year for PKF Kenya, Uganda and Rwanda as we anticipate continuing our rapid growth and expansion of the firm. We thank our clients for their continued loyalty and support.
